Position Purpose: Night Shift 11:00pm - 7:00am
The Heat Treat Operator is responsible for providing an efficient and good quality heat treated products with short lead times and low downtime to the GMSP operations. The position practices safe work habits and follows standard work methods to meet customer requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
Environment:
Federal and State environmental regulations.
Must adhere to Gerdau policies and procedures.
Perform duties of moving mechanical parts.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
Loud noise level in work environment.

Number of people supervised directly or indirectly: 10
Education or Equivalent:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 3+ years of relevant work experience, forklift and crane certification.
Specialized Knowledge and/or Skill:
Very good problem solving and mechanical skills.
Very good verbal communication skills.
