Mars Snacking- Health, Safety & Environmental Technician- Elizabethtown, PAPay: Based on experience starting at $26.88/hour and upThis site manufactures DOVE chocolateShift ScheduleShift: 1st (Days)Schedule: Monday – FridayHours: 8am-5pm (Flexible)Must be flexible to cover additional shifts trainings when needed)Description of Role:The HSE Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, coordination, and execution of the site HSE Management System. It focuses on safety and basic industrial hygiene initiatives, supports environmental compliance, and executes and improves policies and procedures consistent with the Company’s vision, mission and values.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education1+ years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental related role OR a bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant disciplineWorking knowledge of safety regulationsProficiency in software systems including MS Office, email and web based applicationsPreferred Qualifications:·Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant discipline·Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and/or Power BI·Basic environmental regulatory knowledge·Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP environmentsPhysical RequirementsPerform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10–50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50–300 lbs).Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting up to 8 hours.Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet conditions.Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.What will be your Key Responsibilities?Digital safety systems key administrator (Avetta, SafePermit, Everbridge, Enablon, Weever, Nexus/EtQ, HSE SharePoint, HSE Dashboards, etc.)Basic industrial hygiene monitoring (sound level maps, dosimetry, annual audiograms, etc)Coordinate emergency response team training, drills, medical evaluations, and equipment maintenanceCoordinate inspections of eyewashes, ladders, AEDs, and fire extinguishersPPE program administration, HSE purchasing administrator and Safety Pillar memberMaintain site Security policies and Building safety capability within the sitePerform in person trainings as assignedSupport trade contractor work planning and sitewide HSE communicationsContribute to execution of strategy, hazard identification and solution developmentPartners with other key functions on initiatives including Engineering, Operations, P&O, Quality, S&F to develop and deliver site-based goals and plansAny ad hoc requests as requested.Total Rewards (Effective Day 1)Pay Range: Based on experience starting at $26.88/hour and upAnnual Bonus and Merit IncreasesBenefits Starting Day One:Medical, Vision, and DentalUp to 6% 401(k) matchPaid Vacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long-Term Disability18 weeks parental leaveThis position will not offer relocation.What is the Interview Process?Application ➔ Resume Review ➔ Recruiter Screen ➔ Situational Judgment Assessment (online) ➔ Onsite Panel Interview ➔ Offer DecisionWhat can you expect from Mars?The opportunity to learn and develop, taking charge of your own career across Mars.An industry-competitive salary and great benefits package.The chance to work cross-functionally and add value and impact to the business.If you are passionate, a great problem solver, resilient, and have a high drive for results, then we want to hear from you!
