Head of Production
Mission-critical power does not wait on a schedule slide. You will lead the people and the floor that turn engineered designs into modular enclosures, skid-mounted systems, and integrated electrical equipment customers can energize with confidence. Whether a data center, high-tech, or energy project ships complete, safe, and on the committed date depends on this role. Ownership is real: production performance is how the business, and the people who build it, win.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver the annual build plan so modular power centers and skids ship on the agreed date, complete, and factory-acceptance ready.
- Raise schedule adherence and first-pass yield by clearing bottlenecks across fabrication, assembly, wiring, and test.
- Lead daily risk controls with safety so recordable incidents trend down and stop-work authority is used without hesitation.
- Hit labor, overtime, and material-use targets without trading away quality, traceability, or code compliance.
- Build capacity—staffing, shifts, work cells, and supplier flow—so engineering releases become build slots, not chaos.
- Close issues with Quality, Engineering, and Project Management so nonconformances, design clashes, and change orders do not miss a milestone.
- Develop supervisors who run to clear standards and visible metrics, with crews that own the outcome.
Environment & Resources
You lead production supervision, planning coordination, and skilled trades in a manufacturing facility building modular electrical systems for data center, mission-critical, and energy customers. You partner daily with Quality, Engineering, Project Management, Scheduling, and safety, and you report to senior operations leadership. You influence labor plans, overtime, and the process investment required to hit the build plan. The toolkit is the ERP and schedule, drawings, inspection and test plans, and shop-floor metrics. The role is plant-based, with substantial time on the floor and limited travel. Expect noise, standing, and occasional lifting.
Essential Qualifications
- Ten or more years in manufacturing or industrial assembly, including several years leading a production organization.
- A record of delivering complex electrical, modular, enclosure, or skid-mounted equipment to a committed schedule.
- Fluency with drawings, bills of material, routings, and hold points through fabrication, assembly, and factory test.
- Proof you have improved throughput, quality, and safety together—not one at the expense of the others.
- A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience running a similar operation.
