Job Summary:
The Hardwood Assembly candidate will work in both team and individual settings, performing a variety of tasks to produce affordable funeral products. Positions in hardwood assembly will use hand tools such as drill drivers, sanders, hammers, staple and nail drivers along with different glues and some finishing materials to assemble wood components in various stages. Team Members will work in a friendly, fast paced, low stress environment where they will have the opportunity to make a noticeable difference day in and day out.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
· Follow all prescribed safety regulations, including those applicable to local, state and federal laws
· By following written instruction and demonstrated directions:
o Identify proper materials and species of wood to be used
o Maintain quality by inspecting materials used for defects and flaws, some occurring naturally in raw wood materials
o Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
o Perform basic tasks
o Perform assembly processes
o Perform basic machine operations
o Move products and materials throughout the department as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Ability to follow demonstrated and written instructions
· Good communication of the English language, both written and spoken
· Ability to work in team and individual settings
· Ability to read written instructions, use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
· Previous manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds
· Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and otherwise move about the facility
