Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and analyze machined aerospace parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface irregularities using magnification tools and blueprints/specifications.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections using hand tools, abrasive wheels, stones, scrapers, small power tools (e.g., Dremels, grinders), and polishing equipment.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, engineering specifications, and process sheets to ensure conformance.
- Maintain tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards as per aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.).
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and surface finishes.
- Perform in-process and final deburring operations in collaboration with machinists, inspectors, and engineers.
- Document work completed and maintain traceability according to company and industry standards.
