Fresh Mark is hiring Ham Packaging Team Members for both 1st and 2nd Shift at our Salem, Ohio facility.

We are looking for dependable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are interested in building a long-term career in food production. As a member of the Ham Packaging team, you will help package, inspect, label, and prepare quality ham products while supporting food safety, quality, and production goals.

No previous food manufacturing experience is required. Training is provided.

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay

1st Shift: $15.00 per hour

2nd Shift: $16.50 per hour (includes shift differential)

6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift

4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Work Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday-Saturday
• Overtime may be required based on production needs

Job Description

As a Ham Packaging Team Member, you will support production operations by packaging, inspecting, labeling, sorting, and preparing ham products for distribution. Team members work alongside production, quality assurance, and operations personnel to ensure products meet company standards for food safety, quality, weight, appearance, and customer specifications.

No previous experience is required. Fresh Mark provides on-the-job training for qualified candidates.

Essential Job Duties

• Package, wrap, seal, and prepare ham products for shipment
• Inspect products for quality, appearance, weight, and specification compliance
• Weigh and label products accurately
• Operate or assist with packaging equipment and production machinery
• Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process
• Move materials and finished products throughout the department
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Work efficiently to meet production goals and daily targets
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to:

• Work in a cool food manufacturing environment
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Work in a fast-paced production environment
• Work overtime and weekends when necessary
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and dependability
• Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing Experience
• Food Production Experience
• Packaging Experience
• Machine Operation Experience
• Warehouse Experience
• Assembly Line Experience
• General Labor Experience

Training will be provided for all qualified candidates.
