Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our property. The ideal candidate will perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance, operate landscaping equipment, and assist with general outdoor repairs to ensure the facility remains clean, attractive, and well-maintained. This position requires someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and care for flowers, shrubs, and other vegetation.
• Remove weeds, leaves, branches, litter, and debris from the property.
• Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of sidewalks, parking lots, entrances, and common outdoor areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping equipment and tools.
• Operate landscaping equipment, including lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other power equipment safely.
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and minor repairs to fences, gates, walls, and other exterior property features.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides according to company safety guidelines.
• Inspect the grounds regularly and report maintenance concerns, property damage, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to management.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the property is clean, safe, and maintained to company standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Groundskeeper, Landscaper, Gardener, or in a similar outdoor maintenance role preferred.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care, irrigation systems, fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, loud noise, and uneven terrain.
