Grounds Maintenance Technician

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule:

Summer: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

Winter: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Paid 1-hour lunch

100% outdoor position

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain airport grounds and airfield property. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining safe, well-kept grounds. No prior airfield experience is requiredwe provide comprehensive training.

Responsibilities:

Operate large commercial riding mowers.

Perform weed eating, trimming, and mulching.

Complete general grounds maintenance and landscaping duties.

Maintain airport and airfield property.

Follow all airfield safety procedures and regulations.

Communicate with airport personnel as needed while working in secured areas.

Training Provided

Commercial riding mower operation.

Weed eater and landscape equipment operation.

Airfield and runway safety procedures.

Airport control tower communication.

OSHA and airport-specific safety training.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license required.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ability to pass a TSA background investigation.

Successfully complete a 7-panel drug screen.

TB test required.

Physical examination required (provided through Lexington Medical).

Hiring Process:

Please note that the TSA background investigation can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks before a start date can be confirmed.
