Job shop environment (high mix, low volume) that provides great learning and growth opportunities.
We provide the option to Machinists on 2nd and 3rd shift to work a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule as long as it aligns with business needs. Training typically takes place on 1st shift which would include a 5/8 training schedule.
Our 2nd shift premium is 10% and our 3rd shift premium is 15%.
Guaranteed at least 40 hours per week.
Overtime is optional and not mandatory.
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus.
This is a 2nd shift position that would involve training on 1st shift.
**Grinding Machinist Job Summary: **
Perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This cell contains Manual Surface Grinders, a Mitsubishi Cylindrical Grinder, a Kellenberger CNC Grinder, and a hobbing machine.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
At least 3 years of CNC grinding and manual grinding experience required.
Willingness to move between different machines (e.g. vertical machining centers) as needed.
Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are essential.
Ideal candidate will have experience running different grades of material and performing multiple setups per day.
