POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Global Sales Manager to lead Fusion’s worldwide sales efforts across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth of our custom automated brazing and soldering systems as well as our proprietary brazing and soldering pastes and consumables.
You will directly manage our key sales leaders: the National Sales Manager (U.S., Canada, Mexico), the European Sales Manager (Europe), and the sales manager and dedicated representatives managing Asia. Working closely with executive leadership, you will develop and execute global sales strategies, optimize the performance of regional teams, build strong international customer relationships, and ensure consistent achievement of revenue and market-share goals. This is a high-visibility leadership position that combines strategic oversight with hands-on support for complex sales cycles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sales strategies to accelerate revenue growth across all regions while balancing performance metrics and market opportunities.
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management to direct reports: National Sales Manager, European Sales Manager, China sales manager and Asia Representatives.
- Monitor and analyze global sales pipeline, territory performance, business ratios, and forecasting accuracy; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Travel domestically and internationally independently and with regional leaders to support major opportunities, strengthen key account relationships, and gain market intelligence.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts and decision-makers globally.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set realistic yet ambitious global sales forecasts and budgets aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and penetrate new international markets and strategic accounts in target industries.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, R&D Technical Services, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to deliver tailored technical solutions for complex customer requirements.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact technical presentations and ROI analyses to executive and technical audiences; recommend improved materials, machinery, or processes while clearly documenting and articulating quantifiable value — demonstrating cost savings, productivity gains, and superior ROI for Fusion solutions.
- Champion the use of CRM tools for pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and knowledge sharing across the sales team.
- Evaluate team performance, align compensation plans with results, and drive a high-performance culture.
- Stay abreast of industry news, trends, competitors, emerging technologies, and product developments through continuous learning and company training while identifying team development needs and creating growth opportunities for the global sales team.
- Negotiate major contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with global customers and distributors.
- Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, and industry events worldwide.
- Adhere to Fusion's Quality Policy, ISO 9001 standards, and established procedures: actively seeking opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies; perform additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of progressive field sales experience, with a proven track record selling capital equipment or industrial automation solutions.
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience managing managers or regional teams (international experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated success driving sales growth in multiple geographic markets.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical/automation systems and brazing/soldering processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and cross-cultural skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, domestic and international — up to 40–50% with the ability to travel throughout Asia and Latin America with minimal direction and supervision.
- Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline and customer management.
- Work from our corporate headquarters in Willoughby, Ohio.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Direct experience or strong knowledge of brazing and soldering metal-joining processes, filler metals, paste alloys, or applicator equipment.
- Proven success selling into Europe and/or Asia-Pacific markets.
- Experience managing distributors and independent representatives.
- Familiarity with international trade compliance, export regulations, and global contract negotiations.
