Global Lead Strategic Sourcing Epoxy Raw Materials (m/f/d)

based in Schwalbach/Ts. (Frankfurt Rhein/Main area)

 

Olin is seeking a Global Lead Strategic Sourcing Epoxy Raw Materials. This position will be located at Olin's administrative site Schwalbach/Ts.. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the sourcing strategy for critical raw materials, including working with relevant Production, Business, Finance and Commercial groups to create contracts that meet the business objectives. You will also be accountable for negotiating with suppliers, creating strategic sourcing plans to achieve Olin's short and long-term objectives, and other category management responsibilities for your designated raw materials groups.

 

What challenges can you expect?

  • Lead the development, implementation, & execution of global sourcing strategies for epoxy raw materials through collaboration with internal stakeholders (Planning, Legal, Finance, etc.)
  • Negotiates supply agreements to ensure optimum costs & reliable supply
  • Oversees raw material procurement activities & ensures they are properly executed
  • Maintains/grows relationships with internal stakeholders & external suppliers
  • Develops risk assessments & in-depth knowledge of market dynamics
  • Reports on key deliverables related to financial productivity, key performance indicators, & other organizational goals
  • Leads the team responsible for Global procurement of epoxy raw materials (2-4 direct reports)
  • Any other needs of the business as related to managing a raw material supply chain

 

How will you convince us?

  • Bachelor's degree required (University/FH); Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred; Master’s Degree preferred (University/FH)
  • 8+ years of experience required in relevant Supply Chain, Commercial or Operations role
  • Experience in Procurement Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
  • Strong contract negotiations, vendor management, & utilizing competitive bid process skills required
  • Superior communication, presentation skills & comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Attention to detail & creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, time, & project management skills
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Knowledge of common MS Office applications and SAP
  • Independent working style and a high degree of initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and a service-oriented approach to work
  • High level of assertiveness and persuasiveness coupled with enthusiasm and strong implementation skills. You want to make a substantial contribution to the company's success with your professional work
