The Global Controller is responsible for directing or coordinating financial activities of workers in a branch, office, or department of an establishment, such as branch, office, or departments of Evonik establishment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a business partner (performance manager) to the product line management in commercial and strategic topics
• ​Conduct monthly analysis of business specific effects, identification of chances and risks as well as deduction of recommended actions for the product line management
• Responsible for the Controlling processes planning, budgeting, forecasting
• Steering of / support for operative and strategic business line projects
• Sparring partner of the business line Controller in advancement of Controlling processes and support of its implementation
• Support of division projects to optimize and harmonize processes
• Responsible for the economic calculations of the product lines projects (M&A, capital investments, contracts) and Post-Completion Audits
• Support with internal and external audits (e.g. public accountant)
• Represent the business line in group projects
• Serve as primary controlling contact for site controlling at the production sites, coordinate global annual production cost budgeting process.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in operative financial controlling/managerial accounting and project management required
• Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Controlling processes and respective IT tools (SAP, Business Warehouse, MS Office etc.)
• Distinct interest in digitalization and new ways of working
• Ability to work conceptually, analyze data and prepare proposals for management decisions
• Professional written and verbal communication as well as stakeholder management skills
• Readiness of mind, goal and solution orientation as well as structured way of working
• Determination, commitment, proactivity / bias for action, flexibility, and a strong business acumen
