Job Overview:
We’re searching for a Generator Service Technician, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the service support of our Caterpillar Power Systems Rental Product line. Duties will include the maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, engines, electrical, and related systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provides support for Rental products through technical evaluations, troubleshooting, and problem solving
Repairs and maintain rental fleet to include mobile generators, air compressors & temperature control equipment
Provides guidance, assistance, and training to service technicians and customers as requested
Communicates cost, service and reliability issues from Shop and Field to office personnel
Writes full reports on findings from field service events, with detailed, clear, concise information
Communicates daily clear comprehensive reports regarding assigned units
Represents the Power Systems Rental group in the shop and field
Participates in the required safety program, and work in a safe manner
Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
High school diploma or related equivalent required
Three years of “Rental Product” experience or accepted alternate
Required Qualifications/Skills
Microsoft Office Software proficiency
Able to read electrical schematics and equipment mechanical drawings
Experience with Diesel engines, Air Compressors and Temperature Control products
Good working knowledge of power generation components, compressed air systems and fuel systems
Excellence at managing Customer relationships
High level of responsiveness, and a strong proactive attitude to problem solving
Ability and motivation to learn quickly
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desire and aptitude to perform hands-on work
Ability to think and reason for oneself
Must be 21-years-old or older
Valid, active driver's license
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.

Drug Screen
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
Technical Degree or Certification a plus
5-10 years' experience with generators
Air compressor and air conditioners
