Meyer Distributing is looking for a General Maintenance Technician to join our Hermiston team.

Education/Certification(s):

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience for General Maintenance:

• Job related experience within specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required

Requirements for General Maintenance:

• Ability to give special attention to detail required. Must have ability to identify letters and numbers
• Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to management direction
• Must have ability to orally communicate with co-workers, supervisors and other employees

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6am to 3pm

Pay:

$22 to $25

General Maintenance duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct PMs on all forklift equipment
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Maintain landscaping and parking lot.
