Makes, repairs and replaces parts as necessary on all electrical equipment. Makes new and replacement wiring. Installs new motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment. Must be familiar with the main electrical circuits within the plant area.
At times, installs and makes repairs on all types of electrical equipment including electronic and control circuitry. Works to and traces through complex wiring diagrams and circuits.
Works from diagrams, sketches and instructions with very little supervision. Directs helpers or assists.
Does basic installation, repair and dismantling work on mechanical equipment throughout the factory. Replaces worm or broken parts with stock parts. May make or repair basic parts, setting up and operating the necessary machines. Lubricates motors and mechanical equipment. May be required to help mechanics. May fabricate and weld basic items.
May also do basic plumbing repairs, installations, and adjustments. May be required to help steamfitter "A".
All members of the group will follow all current standard operating procedures. All members are responsible for quality of their workmanship and must follow all safety and housekeeping procedures and work in a safe manner at all times. All members of the group will train others in the various functions.
Certifications/Requirements: Crane Operation, Tow Motor, LOTO, Confined Space, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift
Housekeeping: Keeps area clean and puts tools away
