Summary
The General Maintenance and Engineering Manager is personally or through subordinates responsible for the design, coordination, planning and implementation of programs relating to Maintenance and Engineering including design and installation of equipment and processes, preventive/proactive maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, utility systems and plant operation equipment and tools. He/she also carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in this work environment requires hearing protection.

Ability to communicate well orally with a wide variety of co-workers (top management, production workers, sales, customer support, etc.) through the use of phone, email, and other forms of communication is essential.
