Job Title: General Laborer / Production Associate

Location: Oak Forest, IL

Pay Rate: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour

Empire offers Weekly Pay, Health Insurance Options, and Sick Pay after 90 days of employment.

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• Perk: Includes a paid 30-minute lunch break!

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, hardworking General Laborers for entry-level assembly and packaging positions at a fast-paced fulfillment and manufacturing facility in Oak Forest, IL. In this role, you will perform assembly, packaging, labeling, and material handling tasks under the guidance of line leaders to help convert raw materials into finished display products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, kitting, packaging, labeling, and rework tasks according to job specifications.
• Assemble corrugated displays and promotional packaging efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect incoming materials and finished items for defects, damage, or incorrect components, reporting any issues immediately.
• Assist with staging, organizing, and transporting materials within the production area.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations throughout your shift.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
• Cooperate with team members, supervisors, and line leaders to meet daily output goals.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED preferred; prior warehouse, manufacturing, or packing experience is a plus, but not required—we will train entry-level candidates!
• Language Skills: Ability to understand and follow basic instructions (English or Spanish fluency preferred).
• Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for up to 90%+ of the shift and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
• Safety Gear: Safety shoes are encouraged on the production floor.
• Attributes: Strong attendance record, positive attitude, and good attention to detail
