Job Description

Huron Valley Steel Corporation in Belleville, MI operates a Metals Recycling Plant, where we separate and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Annually, we process over a billion pounds of metals which are re-sold to customers worldwide.

Job Responsibilities:

• Picking, sorting, and lifting unusable scrap from moving conveyors.

• Cleaning the work area.

• Maintenance of plant equipment.

• Operating a Forklift.

• Shoveling scrap into various bins for processing.

• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.

We currently have openings for General Laborers. Position requirements include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1-2 years of general labor experience.

• Forklift experience is a definite plus.

• Must be able to work a day shift or afternoon shift: day shift starts from 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM, and afternoon shift starts at 3:00 PM; 4/10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis.

• Must have a valid driver's license.
