**General Labor ** – Attalla, AL – $15.00/hr

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

HOT ENVIRONMENT

Pay $15.00

Primarily supports welders by preparing materials, cleaning the workspace, and performing basic tasks

They may cut, grind, and prepare metal for welding, ensuring the work area is safe and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Preparation:

Cutting, grinding, and preparing metal for welding. This includes using saws, grinders, and other tools to shape and size metal pieces according to specifications.

• Shop Maintenance:

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

• Assisting Welders:

Helping welders with tasks like setting up equipment, loading materials, and providing support as needed.

• Following Instructions:

Performing tasks according to instructions from supervisors or welders, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

• Safety Compliance:

Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety concerns.

• Quality Control:

Inspecting completed work for quality and ensuring it meets specifications.

Skills and Abilities:

• Physical Stamina: General laborers need to be able to lift and move heavy materials and operate tools for extended periods.
• Basic Math Skills: Measuring and calculating dimensions, understanding blueprints, and following specifications.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools used in the welding industry.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials.
• Communication Skills: Following instructions and communicating any problems or issues to supervisors.
• Teamwork: Working effectively with welders and other tradespeople.
