Job Summary

The General Labor position is responsible for performing entry-level production and processing duties in a poultry processing environment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Foods policies and procedures. Team members may work in various departments throughout the facility and support production, packaging, sanitation, processing, and quality operations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general production labor tasks as assigned throughout the poultry processing facility.
  • Assist with poultry processing, packaging, labeling, stacking, sorting, and product handling operations.
  • Support production line operations while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, workstations, and production areas.
  • Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate production records and required documentation when applicable.
  • Follow all food safety, USDA, animal welfare, and Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and quality concerns to management.
  • Assist in other departments and perform cross-functional duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
