About the Role:

The Panela Processing Associate LV2 plays a critical role in the production and quality assurance of panela, a traditional unrefined whole cane sugar product. This position is responsible for overseeing the processing stages to ensure that the final product meets established quality and safety standards. The associate will work closely with production teams to monitor equipment, manage raw materials, and maintain optimal processing conditions. Attention to detail and adherence to health and safety protocols are essential to guarantee product consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes to delivering a high-quality product that satisfies customer expectations and supports the company’s reputation in the marketplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing environments, preferably with sugar or similar products.
  • Basic understanding of production equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in food safety or quality control.
  • Experience working with panela or other traditional sugar products.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor panela processing equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Inspect raw materials and intermediate products for quality and consistency throughout the processing stages.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Skills:

The required skills enable the associate to efficiently operate and monitor processing equipment while ensuring product quality and safety. Attention to detail is crucial for identifying any inconsistencies or deviations during production. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly. Preferred skills such as knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards enhance the associate’s ability to maintain compliance with industry regulations. Mechanical aptitude supports minor troubleshooting, minimizing downtime and maintaining smooth production flow.
