**Position Summary

**The General Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, packaging, and preparing fastener products and assemblies according to production and quality requirements. This position works in a manufacturing environment and supports production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities

**

• Assemble fasteners, bolt-and-washer assemblies, and related components according to work instructions.

• Operate basic assembly equipment and hand tools.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of finished products.

• Sort, count, label, and package parts for shipment.

• Maintain production records and complete required documentation.

• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns.

• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

• Support team production goals and continuous improvement efforts. 

**Qualifications

**

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but often not required.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Basic math and counting skills.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Must be able to pass a drug screen

**Physical Requirements

**

• Stand for extended periods.

• Lift and move materials up to 25–50 pounds.

• Frequent use of hands for handling small parts.
