General and Skilled Laborer Opportunities

Up to $35/hour DOE | Full-Time | Multiple Opportunities | Year-Round & Seasonal Work

Local companies across the Flathead Valley are hiring for Construction Laborers, Asphalt Laborers, Paving Laborers, Yard Laborers, General Laborers, and Skilled Laborer positions. Opportunities range from entry-level labor and jobsite support to experienced, paving, construction, and finishing work.

These hands-on positions are ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy physical work, working with tools and materials, and contributing to projects from start to finish. Depending on the position, work may include painting and finishing, surface preparation, construction labor, asphalt paving, grading, excavation, material handling, yard maintenance, equipment operation, and jobsite cleanup.

What You’ll Do

Perform or assist with interior and exterior painting, finishing, and surface preparation

Sand, scrape, clean, mask, prime, and prepare surfaces for paint and coatings

Apply paints, stains, primers, sealers, and coatings using brush, roller, and spray methods

Assist with asphalt paving, grading, excavation, and site preparation

Rake, shovel, move, stage, and distribute materials during construction and paving projects

Load, unload, organize, and move materials, tools, equipment, and inventory

Assist skilled tradespeople, equipment operators, painters, and construction crews

Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites, yards, work areas, and storage areas

Perform general labor, cleanup, debris removal, demolition, and material handling

Operate basic hand and power tools and assist with equipment operation as appropriate

Keep traffic lanes, storage areas, and work zones clear and organized

Follow safety procedures, work instructions, project specifications, and quality standards

What You’ll Bring

Experience in painting, construction, paving, excavation, general labor, landscaping, warehouse, or yard work preferred for applicable positions

Experienced painters should have strong knowledge of painting, coatings, surface preparation, and application techniques

Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50–75+ pounds, depending on position

Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather

Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and willingness to work as part of a team

Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed

Valid driver's license for applicable positions

Background screening and/or drug screening may be required for certain positions
