Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for gelcoat application, ensuring they are clean and free of contaminants.
Mix and apply gelcoat materials according to specifications and industry standards.
Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying any defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain and clean equipment and tools used in the gelcoat application process.
Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
5+ years of experience in boat finishing, automotive painting, gelcoat application, or related finishing environments
Experience with epoxy-based paint systems preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Basic computer skills required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
Comfortable working in a manufacturing and paint environment
Ability to wear required PPE and respirator equipment as needed
May require occasional overtime or weekend work
