We are seeking a detail-oriented Gauge Lab Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for calibration, inspection, maintenance, and tracking of precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience working with precision measurement tools, and a solid understanding of quality control processes.
Perform calibration and verification of gauges, measuring tools, and test equipment
Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation
Inspect and evaluate tools for wear, damage, or out-of-tolerance conditions
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
Ensure compliance with ISO and internal quality standards
Support production and quality teams with measurement-related issues
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the gauge lab
Assist with audits and quality inspections
Previous experience in a gauge lab, quality lab, or metrology role preferred
Strong understanding of micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
ISO 9001 / IATF knowledge
Experience with calibration tracking systems
Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Good vision (corrected) for precision measurement work
