Position Opportunity 

The gasser operator is a role designed to check the weights of the gas and the cream to ensure a correct product is being produced. This position and the filler operator position are interchangeable and overlap in many areas. The filler and gasser positions assist with the crimper operator position, when necessary, as all machines are housed in the same location.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma / GED

Related Experience: 

• Understand how to read the schedule. 
• Know how to read a pressure gauge. 
• Check the scale weight on the gasser and filler. 
• Adjust the pressure and the gas when they are incorrect. 
• Be able to quickly changeover when necessary. 
• Ability to run the filler when the filler operator is on break. 
• Know how to do COP and must be able to disassemble the gasser when the room neds to be sanitized. 
• Be able to sign off for the release of a batch if the filler operator is unavailable.  
• Be able to do a hot water flush if needed. 
• Empty out the holding tank to change the butterfat and empty it out when the schedule is complete or if the filler operator is unavailable. 
• Perform a butterfat test when the filler is unavailable. 

Knowledge/Skills Experience: 

• Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) 
• Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving around the facility. 
• Work in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection.  
• Ability to stack boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
