Opportunity Overview:
As a Gas Transmission Project Manager, you will lead delivery of complex utility infrastructure projects from initial concept through engineering, permitting, construction, and final closeout. You will manage a diverse portfolio of gas transmission and distribution projects. This portfolio includes pipeline replacements, new pipeline installations, regulator station rebuilds, relocations, mandated infrastructure adjustments, and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) program work.
You will coordinate teams, oversee budgets and schedules, manage risk, and maintain understanding between project goals and our needs. You will be an important liaison between engineering, operations, contractors, right‑of‑way, construction teams, and leadership.
This position is in St. Paul, MN and follows a hybrid schedule with onsite work Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday.
Your Day-to-Day:
Lead weekly project meetings (engineering, operations, contractors, ROW, and project controls)
Develop project schedules, milestones, and work plans
Manage project budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variances
Review engineering designs and collaborate on design solutions
Review, negotiate, and approve contractor and engineering proposals
Process purchase orders, audit documentation, procurement files, and contract updates
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly site visits, increasing during construction season (March–November)
Oversee contractor performance, construction progress, and field safety
Manage issues, and scope changes with mitigation and contingency planning
Ensure project completion, payment reconciliation, and closeout documentation
