Quality Technician IV (Gage Lab Tech)

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay: $24.27/hr + $2.70/hr weekend differential

Shifts Available:

• Weekend Day Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:30am–7:00pm

Overview:

Express Employment is seeking a Quality Technician IV (Gage Lab Tech) for a local manufacturer. This position is responsible for inspecting, calibrating, repairing, and certifying precision measuring instruments, including CMMs, Super Micrometers, and surface plates. The role plays a key part in maintaining ISO9001 compliance and ensuring all measurement tools meet exacting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Check, adjust, calibrate, and certify precision measuring equipment

• Repair and maintain gages and coordinate with outside repair vendors

• Perform layout inspections and trigonometric calculations

• Maintain records in line with ISO9001 and corporate gage systems

• Train others once fully qualified

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with gage checking, repair, and certification

• CNC machining knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints

• Strong math and trigonometry skills

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Proficient computer and recordkeeping skills
