What You’ll Do
As a Freelance Senior AEM Developer, you’ll be instrumental in innovating and developing immersive digital experiences on cutting-edge, large-scale, enterprise consumer-facing websites. You’ll be successful by leveraging your technical development expertise to build these websites on an enterprise content management system (CMS) using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Additionally, you will:
Develop code for highly visible marketing and eCommerce Websites, implement high-fidelity, responsive layouts from creative comps.
Be instrumental in developing digital experiences using cutting-edge technology by leveraging your Java software development experience.
Collaborate with front/back end teams to integrate code in applications.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility of front-end code across devices.
Be a key part of an application development project team comprised of onshore and offshore developers using Scrum ceremonies and methodologies
Collaborate with Technical Managers to estimate specific work assignments, ensure the quality of your deliverables and provide status updates and highlight issues.
You will participate in all Scrum processes, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Sprint Retrospectives.
Who you are:
AEM Developer Certified.
Working knowledge with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS or experience with AEM applications using version 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service.
4+ years of experience building websites.
Have a solid understanding of HTML5, CSS (SASS/Less) and JavaScript.
Great if you also have:
Experience with custom components using HTL.
Worked with custom templates (Editable and Static).
Worked with custom client libraries.
An understanding of integration of web pages and applications with RESTful webservices.
Ability to establish presentation layer technical requirements.
Experience producing interim deliverables (such as style guide components, technical specifications, browser + market analysis, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) to the final live site or application.
Participated in the authoring of technical and business requirement documentation.
For front end engineers: Some proficiency in UX design, information architecture and/or graphic design, but with a preference to code.
For back end engineers: worked with AEM Multi Site Manager to manage websites and launch localized websites; Integrate APIs with AEM; built RESTful services and troubleshooting them to HTTP protocol level; building OSGI components, services and servlets, custom-coded workflows; Cloud Web Services such as AWS API Gateway, Cognito, RDS, and DynamoDB or similar.
Understanding in Continuous Integration technologies and deployment frameworks (i.e. Maven, Docker, Jenkins).
