About Sloan’s Lake Location

Odell Brewing in the Sloan's Lake neighborhood, features a 10-barrel pilot brewhouse and scratch pizza kitchen. Our space includes two bars with 16 Odell tap handles and a rooftop patio overlooking Sloan’s Lake and the Rocky Mountains. The pilot system brews experimental beers available exclusively at Sloan’s Lake.  What you can expect working here: an amazing team, high-volume, community forward, and an environment that prioritizes support and positivity.


Position Summary:

We are looking for a supportive, hands-on kitchen leader to support the daily operations at our Sloan’s Lake taproom. This role ensures consistent food quality, cleanliness and safety while coaching and training kitchen co-workers, coordinating shift coverage and supporting inventory & ordering needs. Working closely with the management team, the Lead Line Cook fosters a collaborative, positive environment and continuously seeks ways to improve kitchen operations, team cohesiveness and guest experiences.


Position Hours: 

Must have availability for both lunch and dinner shifts, especially on weekends. Hours will be scheduled up to 40 per week. A typical weekly schedule will be Thursday-Monday, with flexibility to adjust as needed. 


Essential Functions:

Daily Operations

  • Maintain management of the kitchen to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to coaching and training

  • Maintain safe, healthy and sustainable restaurant environment: establish, follow and enforce sanitation standards and procedures, comply with health and legal regulations and observe kitchen safety and sustainability practices

  • Assist in menu development, training and standardization support

  • Confirms order items match invoice

  • Maintains the existence of accurate pricing, inventory, and food ordering 

  • Ensure food quality; manage facility kitchen equipment and cleaning projects 



Team Development / Management

  • Ensures positional duties are covered throughout each shift, dependent on business needs 

  • Encourages consistent teamwork efforts

  • Supports a cohesive team through participation in the hiring processes, consistent coaching and training and effective communication

  • Work with Operations Manager to educate all co-workers on available menu items

  • Lead training program for new kitchen co-workers

  • Facilitate co-worker breaks & supports coverage during those times


Leadership Engagement

  • Support our community outreach commitments

  • Foster relationships with community partners, neighbors and vendors

  • Support strategic planning & implementation as related to menu releases, events, and innovation

  • Continuously looking for ways to improve processes, enhance business operations, profitability, guest experiences and co-worker engagement 


Enhanced Guest Experience

  • Maintains a welcoming, exciting, safe and educational work environment 

  • Work with Management team to investigate and resolve guest complaints and feedback concerning food quality 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in a pizza kitchen preferred 

  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays

  • Models and promotes Odell values

  • Demonstrated passion and ability to ensure excellent guest experiences

  • Demonstrated positive, motivated, hardworking, and collaborative attitude required

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours on your feet

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 160 lbs

  • Ability to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment

  • Ability to crouch, bend, lift, climb stairs, and reach

  • Ability to remain focused and level-headed under demanding situations


Hourly Range:

$24-26/hr, depending on experience
