Key Responsibilities

Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.

Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.

Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.

Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.

Effectively assigns work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development in addition to maximum productivity for the area.

Spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate, and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed.

Job Description:

The FSI Data Governance Senior Manager will oversee global Finance Data Governance processes, associated security, and internal controls for the Finance organization. This role involves leading the Finance Data Governance Committee to ensure alignment across finance master data processes, tools, standards, and integration with cross-functional teams. This manager will ensure the reporting hierarchies, attributes, and master data records adhere to industry best practices, data quality standards, commonality, and integrity and security of the organization’s data. This position requires expertise in master data standards, governance, cross-functional processes, reporting applications, internal business controls, and project management. This role will also serve as the Finance master data lead, responsible for MDG/ERP implementations and deploying an enterprise data governance tool. This includes ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of finance master data throughout the implementation and deployment processes. This is a highly influential position, requiring partnership with global and local accounting teams, Global FP&A, business segments, EDM (Enterprise Data Management), Global Internal Audit, and GIS.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Lead high-visibility projects using agile methodologies to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Manage the full life cycle of Finance Master Data across applications such as SAP ECC, COPA, BPC, and Databricks.
• Facilitate Data Governance Council meetings to align on priorities, project updates, issue resolution, and process guidance.
• Drive process innovation to improve execution, automation, controls, and capabilities.
• Oversee global master data requests and downstream maintenance in BPC, Anaplan, and other reporting applications.
• Conduct ongoing data cleaning to eliminate discrepancies, redundancy, and stale records.
• Supervise BPO resources to ensure timely and quality MDG deliverables.
• Execute reorganizational efforts to align reporting structures with current requirements.
• Support M&A integrations to meet Day 1 and ongoing post-closure activities.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of ERP capabilities and functionality, including technical and configuration aspects.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial processes (local statutory, management reporting, intercompany, GL, fixed assets, collections, product costing, inventory management) and operational processes (Operations, Sales, Engineering).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex business requirements and technical issues clearly.
• Effective presentation skills for large audiences, management, and executive teams.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, prioritize, anticipate challenges, and achieve corporate goals.
• Curiosity and drive to learn the business, improve processes, and strive for excellence.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proactive, independent, and resourceful with a self-motivated approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in data governance, finance, accounting, or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing data governance processes with a deep understanding of tools, applications, and reporting.
• Proven managerial experience and leading cross-functional teams.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
