Job Overview:
Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) Operator (a minimum of 2 years' experience in a high speed manufacturing operation)
Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) Operators (Frost) must be able to withstand working in an overall temperature range of -40F to +100F (a minimum of 2 years' work experience in high speed manufacturing required, ideally in frozen or refrigerated manufacturing areas)
IQF operators are accountable for the safe and accurate production of assigned operations as well as the thorough documentation of all quality checks according to Riviana Ebrofrost specifications and responsibilities include:
- Start up and shut down operations
- Rice transfer, ensuring correct recipes for processing, salt blends, freezer operation, packaging operation, shipping and receiving operation, warehouse and sanitation practices
- Operators are expected to be able to run and troubleshoot all pieces of equipment in the production, packaging and shipping/receiving area
- Operators will be responsible for sanitation, quality, safety and efficient operation of all equipment in each assigned work area
- MFO must have at least 2 years’ hands-on experience working on a manufacturing floor in a high speed operation
- Work 12 hour shifts, flexible to work day or night, spending most of the time standing (starting shifts likely will be 4 pm — 4 am (alternating shifts — Week 1 (4 days), Week 2 (3 days)
- Work OT as required
- Learn quickly, proactive in efforts to maximize production & prevent downtime
- Work well with others in a team environment with frequent, effective, and quick communication
- Technical skills to perform in area of specialty
- Understands and able to perform and troubleshoot all activity and equipment in area of responsibilities
- Understands Lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Able to rapidly adjust to changing priorities as necessary
Education:
Requires a high school graduate or equivalent and able to follow oral and written instructions
