Job Description

Position:                       Freezer Material Handler  – 2nd Shift 

Hours:                          3:00 p.m. – shift end

Rate of Pay:                 $20.00/hour + $0.75 freezer premium +$1.00/hour shift premium;

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates a lift truck in a safe and timely manner.
• Put away finished product in appropriate freezer location(s).
• Assists with the timely and proper loading and unloading of trailers.
• Will service production lines as necessary and be responsible for the timely handling of production requests for raw materials as well as finished products.
• Responsible for the accurate record keeping and the generation of the appropriate paperwork.
• Maintains cleanliness of dry storage, freezer and dock areas.
• Uses computer terminal to look up inventory information.
• Ensures all safety procedures are followed for forklift operations, product and ingredient storage (including load capacity), and other work practices to avoid and eliminate workplace hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/ Education/ Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must have proficient math skills.
• Stand up hilo driving experience required.

• Ability to read and write English.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others as well as be able to work independently.
• Good organizational skills and detailed oriented.
