Job Overview:

Foundry Operators support the production of complex cast aluminum automotive components by preparing molds and cores, operating melting and casting equipment, and ensuring finished parts meet quality and production standards. This role involves working with molten aluminum, sand molding processes, and foundry machinery while following strict safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. It is heavy industrial and requires lifting/moving and long periods of standing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and pack sand cores and molds for complex aluminum castings.

  • Operate melting furnaces, charge materials, skim slag, and safely pour molten aluminum into molds.

  • Remove finished castings, trim excess material (flash), and perform basic finishing operations.

  • Conduct quality inspections

  • Read and follow work instructions

  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while working in a hot, industrial foundry environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Manufacturing, foundry, casting, or heavy industrial/Construction experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding, hot, and noisy manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
