About the Role:

The Forklift Operator/Box Truck Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility and to our clients. This position requires a combination of operating forklifts and driving box trucks, with the added responsibility of serving as a back-up semi-truck driver when needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of operations and supporting our logistics team in meeting delivery schedules. Ultimately, the Forklift Operator/Box Truck Driver contributes to the overall success of our supply chain by ensuring timely and safe transportation of products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
• Proven experience operating forklifts and driving box trucks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with semi-truck driving.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Drive box trucks to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely arrivals.
• Serve as a back-up semi-truck driver when required, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock management.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Skills:

The required skills, particularly the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A, are essential for safely operating heavy vehicles and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. Daily work will involve using forklift operation skills to efficiently handle materials, which requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of safety protocols. Preferred skills, such as experience with semi-truck driving, will enhance the candidate's ability to step into various roles as needed, providing flexibility to the logistics team. Familiarity with warehouse management systems will aid in maintaining accurate inventory records and improving overall operational efficiency. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also vital, as the candidate will collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
