About the Role:

As a Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse and production facilities. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall operational flow. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and company policies to minimize risks and maintain a secure working environment. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily production and shipping deadlines. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to the smooth functioning of supply chain operations and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule reliably and punctually.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, documents, and record data accurately.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand or walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
  • Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and assist with stock counts as needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet shift goals.
  • Assist in organizing the warehouse layout to optimize space and workflow.
