Forklift Operator – 1st Shift - Lucas Facility

 Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our team at our facility in Lucas, KS. 

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Service the assembly department by ensuring the proper parts and materials are available at the proper place and time
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
• Understanding and use of AS400 and RF units to find location of parts, routing, product structure and parts availability
• Assist in receiving of parts from vendor and route truck
• Assist with cycle counts as needed
• Daily inspection and safe operation of forklift
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

 
 Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have forklift experience
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to excel in a fast paced, high pressure situations and be results oriented
• Understanding of lean concepts and willing to implement change
