Forklift Operator – Oversized Material Handling

📍 Location: Hutto, TX

🕖 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM

💲 Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Hutto, TX. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, stage, and organize large and oversized materials. The ideal candidate has experience handling heavy, awkward-shaped materials such as HVAC coils, equipment, and other irregular loads while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to safely move, load, unload, transport, and position large and oversized materials.

Handle awkward-shaped and irregular loads, including HVAC coils, mechanical equipment, and other bulky materials.

Stage materials for production, shipping, and warehouse operations while preventing product damage.

Receive, inspect, label, and organize inventory in designated storage areas.

Secure and move materials using proper lifting and material-handling procedures.

Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns.

Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and material tracking.

Complete required documentation accurately and maintain organized records.

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and proper forklift operating procedures.

Work with supervisors and team members to support daily operational goals.

Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment operation training.

Qualifications

Preferred

High school diploma or GED.

Previous forklift operating experience in warehouse, manufacturing, HVAC, construction, or industrial environments.

Experience handling large, oversized, or irregularly shaped materials.

Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Skills & Abilities

Ability to safely operate a forklift while handling large, irregularly shaped materials .

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to read labels, work orders, and identify materials accurately.

Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic measurements.

Basic math and inventory counting skills.

Knowledge of OSHA forklift safety standards.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.
