Serta Simmons Bedding is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our Houston manufacturing plant! We’re looking for safety-focused, dependable team players who thrive in a fast-paced production environment and are ready to grow with an industry-leading company.
In this role, you’ll help keep operations moving by loading/unloading materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting daily production needs within our manufacturing facility.

• Load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the plant using a forklift
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and enter data into the system
• Organize and stock raw materials while maintaining a clean work area
• Perform daily forklift safety and maintenance checks
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures
• Read and follow work instructions, schedules, and production tickets
• Communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced team environment
Qualifications:
• Comfort with utilizing Microsoft Office Systems/ Technology- including Outlook and Excel
• Prior forklift experience required ( 2+ years)
• Strong organizational skills and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement
• Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset
• Basic English reading and writing skills required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• 2+ years of forklift experience required
• Manufacturing and/or pneumatic tool experience preferred
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be able to multi-task, take initiative, and work independently
• Availablity to work 2nd shift ( 3pm-12am ) and occassional Saturday availablity as needed.
Physical Requirements:
• Must stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 120 lbs repeatedly during shifts (team lift required for heavy loads)
• Ability to maintain pace in a make-to-order production environment
Work Environment:
• Safety-focused manufacturing facility with Lean/Continuous Improvement practices
• Exposure to high noise levels, heat, raw materials, and limited chemicals
• PPE required and provided by the company
