The forklift operator’s prime responsibilities will be to load and unload
freight in a safe manner, without damaging product or equipment. This person will also
provide support to the Shipping Manager by preparing product for shipment.
Competency Requirements:
DOT Hazardous Materials certified (will provide training)
CVI registered (will provide training)
Organized and detailed
Principal Activities Include:
Inspect forklift before each shift.
Be the point of contact for drivers.
Fill out paperwork completely, properly and legibly.
Ensure that all deliveries belong to AllChem. Checking quantity and damages.
Pulling and staging orders for shipment, checking the condition of the product, making sure that it is properly labeled and that the quantity is correct.
Ability to load, unload dry vans, containers and flat beds.
Report any concerns/issues/spills/damages to the Shipping Manager or Operations Manager.
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
Maintain and monitor inventories of customers.
Communicate with customer service, drivers as well as all levels of senior mgmt.
Speak and write in English fluently. Spanish is a plus but not required.
