In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout our facility while adhering to safety protocols.
## Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to transport heavy materials, including lumber, within the facility.
Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas safely and efficiently.
Inspect forklifts and equipment for safety and maintenance needs before use.
Maintain accurate records of materials handled and inventory levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar material handling role.
Strong knowledge of heavy material handling techniques, particularly with lumber.
Valid forklift operator certification is required.
Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
