This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, and you’ll play a key part in maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency.
## Responsibilities
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move heavy materials, primarily lumber, throughout the facility.
Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient material handling operations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
Strong background in heavy material handling, particularly with lumber.
Valid forklift certification and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy loads and operate machinery safely.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
