Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Forklift Mechanic at our facility located in Rio Rico, AZ, 85648. We are looking for a skilled technician who is passionate about heavy machinery and thrives in a hands-on environment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
This position requires the ability to work on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border, and strong bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are essential. While the technician will perform field-based repairs, all work will be assigned and managed through the Service Manager. Clear, ongoing communication will be required to ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented service.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment Forklifts
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy Forklifts
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
- Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess machinery functionality
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding equipment status
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or experience in Forklift repair preferred
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Must be authorized and able to work on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border (e.g., FM3, dual citizenship, or equivalent documentation). Global Entry or SENTRI access is a plus
- Ability to follow direction closely and maintain detailed communication with the Service Manager regarding job assignments, progress, and findings, using structured service practices such as diagnose, inspect, and repair
- Experience with material handling, aerial and light dirt-moving equipment is preferred
