**JOB SUMMARY
**- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns; provide proper repairs to minimize equipment downtime and initiate estimates for on-site repairs.
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance, including standard inspections, repair and replace defective parts, lubricate parts, and repair electrical equipment.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in factory specifications.
- Review repair work and scheduled maintenance results with customers, communicating any potential issues. Responsible for field quoting and communicating services to customers.
- Utilize the Mobile Service application to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, finalize jobs, and mark them as complete.
- Provide daily status updates to the dispatchers and review any customer issues or concerns with the dispatcher and account manager.
**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
**- High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a service technician role.
- Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics. Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
