Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment of various makes and models
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
  • Conduct safety inspections and equipment evaluations

Preventative Maintenance

  • Complete scheduled maintenance services, including inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, and brake system evaluations
  • Ensure equipment complies with safety and operational standards

Customer Service

  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues and repair recommendations
  • Work effectively with operations and service teams to minimize downtime

Documentation & Time Management

  • Accurately document repairs, inspections, parts usage, and labor hours
  • Utilize company software, tablets, and mobile devices to complete service reports and request parts

Service Vehicle & Inventory Management

  • Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and inventory
  • Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner

Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment technology and repair best practices

Qualifications

  • Experience repairing forklifts, material handling equipment, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related machinery
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook, tablets, and mobile applications
  • Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Must provide a basic set of hand tools
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment components
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
