Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment of various makes and models
- Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and equipment evaluations
Preventative Maintenance
- Complete scheduled maintenance services, including inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, and brake system evaluations
- Ensure equipment complies with safety and operational standards
Customer Service
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues and repair recommendations
- Work effectively with operations and service teams to minimize downtime
Documentation & Time Management
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, parts usage, and labor hours
- Utilize company software, tablets, and mobile devices to complete service reports and request parts
Service Vehicle & Inventory Management
- Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment technology and repair best practices
Qualifications
- Experience repairing forklifts, material handling equipment, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related machinery
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook, tablets, and mobile applications
- Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Must provide a basic set of hand tools
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment components
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
