Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and storing both damaged and newly built pallets. This role requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment, ensuring pallets are handled with care and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation:Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload pallets from various locations within the facility, including outdoor yard areas.

• Pallet Handling:Transport both newly constructed and damaged pallets, ensuring they are stored in designated areas and easily accessible for repairs, maintenance, or distribution.

• Loading/Unloading:Efficiently load pallets onto trucks and containers, ensuring proper stacking and securing to prevent damage during transport.

• Inspection:Inspect pallets for quality, damage, and safety, ensuring that they meet company standards before being moved or stored.

• Inventory Management:Keep accurate records of pallet movements and inventory levels, and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.

• Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating forklifts and handling pallets, including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintenance Support:Assist in the basic maintenance and upkeep of forklifts and warehouse equipment, ensuring they remain in good working condition.

• Collaboration:Work closely with the warehouse team, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Certification:Valid forklift certification (required).

• Physical Stamina:Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to [insert weight]) and work in varying weather conditions when outdoors.
