Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the sheet metal production team.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor production schedules and workflows to meet deadlines.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices and machine operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and employee performance.
• Resolve any production issues or conflicts that arise on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in a sheet metal machine shop environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and machinery.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using various hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
