Job Overview:

Foreman Electrician — Commercial & Industrial Lead

Waconia, MN | $40–$60/hr | M–F, mostly local

\> Lead commercial and industrial. No apartments, no residential.

Established commercial and industrial electrical contractor with offices in the Twin Cities and Mankato is hiring multiple Foremen, Journeymen, and Master Electricians to run large-scale projects. 50 years in business, strongest backlog in company history, and work secured well into 2026 and beyond. Healthcare, institutional, industrial, and large commercial — zero residential or apartment work.

What you'll actually do day-to-day

  • Lead crews of 8+ electricians on commercial and industrial builds, including ground-up projects in the $3M+ range
  • Coordinate with GCs and other trades, manage schedule of work, and plan ahead to keep crews productive
  • Mentor journeymen and apprentices on-site — be the example of excellence with your own work
  • Maintain materials, personnel, and equipment across the job
  • Make quick decisions and adjust plans on the fly when conditions change
  • Read commercial and industrial blueprints, run installs to spec and code
  • Use Procore (or similar) to manage project documentation, RFIs, and submittals

What you bring

  • Class A MN Journeyman Electrician License (required)
  • 5+ years commercial and industrial electrical experience
  • Valid MN driver's license and clean driving record
  • Has personally led crews of 8+ on past projects
  • Ground-up build experience
  • Procore proficiency (or comparable PM tool — willing to learn)
  • Strong troubleshooting, self-starter mindset, can run a job without hand-holding

Why guys take this job and stay

  • $40–$60/hr based on experience
  • 100% employer-paid individual health, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
  • 401k with employer match
  • 2 weeks' vacation to start, more with tenure
  • Performance-based bonuses (merit, teamwork, productivity)
  • Paid continuing education and certifications — OSHA 10, codebooks, manufacturer training, you name it
  • Company vehicle and gas card
  • Company cell phone and tablet
  • $350+/yr tool allowance
  • Family-first culture — company outings, real people, zero corporate fluff
  • Award-winning team with a clear career path into management

The bottom line

You want serious commercial and industrial work — not residential service calls, not apartment buildouts. You want a crew you can lead, a backlog that doesn't dry up, and a company that pays for the certs and tools you need. Class A MN Journeyman license and 5+ years of leadership puts you in the chair fast. Bring ground-up build experience and you're at the top of the band.
