Perform Food Service Worker duties as required by the standards in the Food Service Worker OJT.
Responsible for adhering to the sanitation requirements when working in the dining room as follows:
Cleans tables, chairs, beverage lines, microwaves, condiment carts, and anything else that needs cleaning
Restocks condiments, as required
Replenishes juice and coffee as needed
Sweeps and mops floor as needed and at shift end
Vacuums carpet as needed and at shift end
Breaks down beverage line at shift end
Cleans coffee pots at shift end
Performs dishwashing duties as follows:
Sets up and tears down dishwasher
Unloads carts in clipper
Pre-scrapes, loads, and sprays dishes and trays prior to putting through dishwasher
Loads glasses in dishwasher
Washes utensils three times through dishwasher
Pulls clean dishes, glasses, utensils, & trays; ensures cleanliness and dryness; places dishes on Lowrators, glasses in racks and utensils in utensil containers.
Ensures serving area is properly stocked with service items for patrons
Empties trash at shift end.
Performs line-serving duties as required
Performs required temperature checks on service line products
Ensures cleanliness of line and surrounding area, including floor
Assists in product replenishment when required
Responsible for maintaining area during meal to standards of Performance Work Statement (PWS)
Responsible for cleaning areas after meals to standards of PWS
6. Maintains professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy.
7. Performs other job-related duties as required by supervisor
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a food service environment. The employee is exposed to a variety of conditions such as significant heat and / or cold, exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
This role routinely requires the position holder to be familiar with the operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting requirements of all equipment utilized in the food service facility.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is required to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and crouch for the duration of each shift. The employee is required to lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
