Must have at least 6 months of previous maintenance experience with a single employer within the last 2 years or 1 year of education beyond high school in the maintenance field documented in your work history and/or resume to be considered for an interview.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility and complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR department.

Maintenance Generalist Lead

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Function(s) of the Job - essential functions include but not limited to.

1 Perform all maintenance needed on equipment to ensure little or no downtime.

2 Must be capable of meeting OSHA safety standards.

3 Must be able to work other shifts as needed.

4 Must be able to learn all phases of the plant’s operations.

5 Willing to attend Tyson training classes.

6 Assist in trouble shooting, repairing, and designing of equipment and parts.

7 Must be able to work with small and fragile devises.

8 Must be able to take appropriate actions if foreign material is found in the process.

9 Must be able to perform paperwork accurately, and legible on paper or in plant-view.

10 Must be able to rotate to other departments if needed.

11 Must be able to work Sat. and Sun. if needed.

12 Must comply with all other requests from supervisor.

Physical Requirements: (Muscular / Skeletal requirements of the job.)

1 Must be able to perform physical duties which require a lot of bending, crawling, twisting, standing and walking.

2 Must be able to work long hours and Sat and Sun if needed.

3 Must be able to work in extreme conditions of heat, hot, humid to dry and cold conditions.

4 Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Equipment: (Types of Equipment require to operate for the position.)

1 Analog and digital meters. 2 Computers.

3 Conduit-benders-threaders. 4. lathe. 5 Milling machine.

Education - Minimum Education, Certifications, Diploma, or Technical Expertise Required to Perform the Job Functions

1Must be able to Read & Write English (manuals, instructions, etc.)

2 Must have good Communication Skills

3 Good Previous work record.

4 Good attendance record.

5 High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Experience or Special Skills Preferred:

1 Previous experience and training on the job.
